More AI - ChatGPT & Claude MCP connects your Fortnox to the AI assistant you already use — ChatGPT, Claude or any other app that speaks MCP. Microsoft Copilot can be connected through Copilot Studio, but we have not yet tested that in a live Microsoft environment. The assistant reads straight from Fortnox when you ask, works out analyses such as ageing and cash forecasts, and can prepare changes such as an invoice or a booked receipt. Every change is shown to you in plain language first, and is sent only once you have approved exactly that content. We keep no copy of your bookkeeping. The service is bought in the Fortnox App Market for SEK 119 per company per month, with every user in the company included.

Add the companies to the same connection
When the connection is done, a page shows the button Lägg till ett bolag till (Add another company): sign in to Fortnox, choose the next company, and go back to your AI app within ten minutes. Later you can ask the assistant for a link, valid for 15 minutes. No new installation and no new connection in your AI app.
Ask about one company — or all of them
The assistant works in one company at a time and always says which. Ask about all of them and you get one combined answer; a group overview removes invoices between your own companies.

Nothing is sent without your yes
Every change is shown in plain language before it is sent, and our server sends only exactly what you approved — even if the AI app is set to allow everything.

Sign-in with Fortnox
The sign-in happens at Fortnox, with BankID or however you usually log in. Your password never passes through us, and access can be withdrawn in Fortnox at any time.

Every change sent goes into a log you can read yourself, and shows in Fortnox as usual. An unclear change is never re-sent at random.
No copy of your books
What you ask about is fetched from Fortnox on the spot and not stored by us. Your bookkeeping lives in Fortnox and nowhere else.
Hosted in the EU
The service runs on servers in Ireland, and we move no data out of the EU. What the assistant fetches then becomes part of your chat with your AI provider, where your own agreement with them applies. We are a Swedish company and your data processor.

Do we need IT help to get started?
No. If you are an administrator of your Fortnox you do it yourself in about five minutes: buy and activate in the Fortnox App Market, paste an address into ChatGPT or Claude, and sign in to Fortnox. Nothing is installed and no passwords are handed over. The guide shows every click. If you get stuck, email us and we will help.
What can the assistant do in Fortnox?
Read nearly everything Fortnox opens to integrations, the warehouse included, work out ready-made analyses and prepare changes — create and send invoices, book, remind and approve — that you approve one by one. Everything, module by module.
Can it change my books without me?
No. A change is prepared first and shown to you in plain language. Our server sends it only once you have approved exactly that content, and an approval is used once. Companies set to read-only cannot be changed at all.
Is my data safe?
You sign in with Fortnox, so your password never passes through us. We keep no copy of your bookkeeping, access is encrypted and the service runs in the EU. Anything the assistant fetches ends up in your chat with your AI provider, where your own agreement with them applies. Read the security overview.
Which AI apps does it work with?
ChatGPT (web and desktop), Claude (web, desktop and mobile), Microsoft Copilot through Copilot Studio (not yet tested in a live Microsoft environment), Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot in VS Code and other apps that speak MCP. One licence covers them all.
How would we spot an invoice with a false bankgiro?
Ask the assistant before you pay. The service compares the bankgiro on each document with the supplier register, and points out suppliers that were recently edited in the register and have unpaid invoices. Fortnox shows that a supplier was edited, not what — so we say "check", never "bankgiro changed". If you get the weekly letter, the warning is at the top of it.
How is the licence counted?
Per company. SEK 119 a month covers every user in the company, in any AI app. The AI app account is your own. Several companies need one licence each.
Can everyone in the company use it?
Yes. The licence belongs to the company, not the person, and each person can connect their own AI app. The sign-in step at Fortnox must be done by a system administrator of the company's Fortnox — Fortnox requires it for integrations that act for the whole company. If you are not one, ask a system administrator to do the sign-in step with you.
It says the licence is missing. Why?
Fortnox checks the licence for the exact company you choose when signing in. Make sure the service is bought and activated for that company in the Fortnox App Market. More in troubleshooting.
How is it invoiced?
By Fortnox, on your usual Fortnox invoice, quarterly or yearly under Fortnox's terms. No lock-in, and you cancel with Fortnox. Removing the connector from your AI app does not stop billing.
