Every Fortnox module, and what the assistant can do there.
The service requests the permissions needed for 19 modules. What you can reach depends on your Fortnox subscription and on what you chose for each company.
| Fortnox module | What you can do through the assistant | Support |
|---|---|---|
| Accounting | Vouchers (read and create), chart of accounts, voucher series, financial years and SIE export types 1–4. A booked voucher is corrected with a correcting voucher. | Read and change |
| Customer invoices | Create, book, credit and send invoices by email or e-invoice, contract invoicing, accruals, ROT and RUT. Contract invoicing requires the feature to be included in your Fortnox. | Read and change |
| Customers | Find, add and update customers and their references. | Read and change |
| Suppliers | Search, create and update suppliers. The payment details in the register are what documents are compared against. | Read and change |
| Supplier invoices | Register, approve and book supplier invoices, with a check against the attached document, duplicate checks and accruals. | Read and change |
| Payments | Incoming and outgoing payments in the sales and purchase ledgers, with booking. The service records payments — it moves no money. | Read and change |
| Orders | Create, update, send and invoice orders. | Read and change |
| Quotes | Create, update, send and turn quotes into orders or invoices. | Read and change |
| Articles | Article register and article links. | Read and change |
| Price lists | Price lists and prices per article. | Read and change |
| Payroll | Employees, salary transactions, absence, attendance, schedules, holiday-pay data and expenses. | Read and change |
| Time | Time registrations and time articles. Fortnox does not let any integration create or change them. | Read |
| Fixed assets | An asset from start to finish: register it, depreciate, write up or down, sell and scrap. | Read and change |
| Projects | Project register, and projects on transactions and in result analyses. | Read and change |
| Cost centres | Register, and cost centres on transactions and in result analyses. | Read and change |
| Inbox and archive | Upload receipts and documents from your computer straight into Fortnox, read them — scanned ones too — and link files to vouchers and invoices. | Read and change |
| Print and PDF | Invoices, quotes and orders as PDF, and every answer as Excel, as a one-time link you open yourself. | Read |
| Warehouse | Stock levels, stock points, deliveries in and out, incoming goods, stocktaking, stock transfers, production and purchase orders. Requires the Warehouse module in your Fortnox. | Read and change |
| Settings and base registers | Currencies, payment and delivery terms, payment methods, labels, locked periods, company information and settings. | Read and change |
| Deleting vouchers | No integration can delete a booked voucher — the Fortnox API does not allow it. A mistake is put right with a correcting voucher instead, which you approve like any other change. | No integration |
| Unbooked bank lines | Bank transactions not yet booked are outside Fortnox's open API. With a bank statement you can upload it and ask about the lines. | No integration |
Every change is shown to you in plain language and sent only once you have approved exactly that content. A company set to read-only cannot be changed at all.
34 analyses, calculated on the server.
What would otherwise need an export to Excel is worked out from Fortnox on the spot, across every page — and every answer can be fetched as Excel or shown as a chart.
Customers and suppliers
Ageing per customer and supplier, top customers against last year, rule proposals for the bank queue and duplicate checks of supplier invoices.
Results and position
Income statement and balance sheet, monthly results, key figures with books against ledgers, deviations against last year and last month, and results per project or cost centre.
Cash and staff
Cash forecast week by week, and staff costs in BAS groups month by month.
Review
Monthly review of unbooked, unpaid and overdue, postings per period, the chart of accounts with balances and the lines on a single account.
Several companies
A group overview with invoices between your own companies removed, and the same question across all connected companies.
Documents and payment details
Invoice reading: amounts, VAT, OCR, registration number, bankgiro and plusgiro from a PDF or image — scanned ones too.
Document check: each supplier invoice against its attachment — missing document, amount, VAT, due date, OCR and bankgiro against the supplier register.
A warning about changed payment details: a different bankgiro on the invoice than in the register, suppliers edited shortly before a payment, and new suppliers with large invoices. Fortnox shows that a supplier was edited, not what. Anything to check also comes first in the weekly letter.
On top of the analyses come 23 ways of working — the order in which a question is best answered, the way a bookkeeper would go about it, such as Before we pay the suppliers. In the VAT report and the supplier reconciliation, for example, the assistant does the summing itself from Fortnox — check against Fortnox's own reports.
Module questions, answered.
Does the module have to be in our Fortnox?
Yes. The service reaches only the modules your Fortnox subscription includes.
Can the assistant export SIE files?
Yes, SIE types 1 to 4, for the financial year you ask about, as a one-time link you open yourself.
Can it report time?
No, and no integration can. Fortnox only allows reading time registrations.
Can it delete a wrong voucher?
No, Fortnox allows no integration to do that. Ask for a correcting voucher instead, which you approve before it is sent.
Can it pay a supplier invoice?
It records and books the payment in Fortnox — it moves no money. You make the payment in your bank as usual. Before the payment, though, it can check payment details, documents and duplicates.
Is Fortnox Warehouse supported?
Yes, since 8 October 2026: stock levels, stock points, deliveries, stocktaking, stock transfers, production and purchase orders — read, and change with your approval. The company needs the Warehouse module in Fortnox. If you connected before then, reconnect the company in your AI app so Fortnox asks for the warehouse permission.
