Connect Grok to your Fortnox.
First the service is bought in the Fortnox App Market, by you or your administrator. Then you add it to Grok, which takes about five minutes.

The free plan is enough to add a custom connector, but when demand is high Grok can be slow or stop in the middle of a long task — a paid plan is faster. We walked through the steps in Grok’s Swedish interface; the English button names follow xAI’s own description.
- The service is bought and activated for the right company in the Fortnox App Market. Buying and activating are two separate steps.
- A system administrator of the company's Fortnox does the sign-in. Fortnox requires it.
- BankID, or whatever else you sign in to Fortnox with, is at hand.
- Pop-ups are allowed. The Fortnox sign-in often opens in a window of its own.
- Ten minutes in one go. The Fortnox sign-in must be finished within ten minutes, and you must be back in Grok within ten minutes of the last step.

Open Connectors
Go to grok.com/connectors in your browser and sign in. You also reach the page from the menu at the bottom left — in the Swedish interface it is called Pluginer.

Fill in name and address
Enter a name you will recognise, such as More AI, and paste the address below as the MCP server URL. The field suggests an address ending in /sse — ours ends in /mcp, so paste it exactly as it is.

Add the connector
Click the button under the fields (Lägg till koppling in Swedish). Grok says it is creating the connector, asks you to complete the authentication in the pop-up window, and opens our consent page in a window of its own. Carry on with part 2 there.

Grok opens our consent page
The page is in Swedish. It shows which app wants to connect and asks what it may do. Läsa & skriva i Fortnox (read and write) is selected by default: the assistant can then propose changes, and every change is shown to you before it is sent. Choose Läsa i Fortnox (read) if it should only read. You can switch later without reconnecting. Din e-postadress (frivilligt) is your email address, and it is optional.

Sign in to Fortnox
Fortnox opens, headed Logga in i Fortnox (Sign in to Fortnox). Sign in as usual, for example with BankID. The sign-in is done by a system administrator of the company's Fortnox — that is Fortnox's requirement. If you are already signed in, this step is skipped. Your password never passes through us.

Fortnox says a system administrator is missing. The person signing in is not a system administrator of the company's Fortnox. Ask a system administrator to do this step with you, or to give you that role under Inställningar → Användare (Settings → Users) in Fortnox, then start again from the app.

Choose the company
Under Välj företag (Choose company), choose the company the assistant should work with. You can add more companies in step 5.

It says the licence is missing. The service is not bought or activated for that company. Buy and activate it in the Fortnox App Market — here is how — and start again. Reconnecting without buying does not help.
The company I want is not in the list. The list shows the companies your Fortnox user can access. If the company is missing, an administrator there needs to give you a user in it.

Approve in Fortnox
Fortnox shows what the service may use. Click Godkänn & aktivera (Approve & activate) — you then come to our page showing that the company is connected.

More companies, then back to the app
Our page (in Swedish) shows which company is connected. If the service is bought in other companies too, you can bring them in straight away: click Lägg till ett bolag till (Add another company), sign in to Fortnox again and choose the next company. Tick the box there if the assistant should be able to propose changes in that company. Then click Tillbaka till Grok (Back to Grok) within ten minutes — the connection is complete only once you are back in the app.

The page says the time to add more companies ran out. On screen: Tiden för att lägga till fler bolag gick ut. The connection was not completed in time. Start again from the app. You can add more companies at any time afterwards — ask the assistant for a link.
Do all companies have to come along now? No. One connection holds up to 50 companies, and you add the rest later by asking the assistant for a link. The link is valid for fifteen minutes.

Check that the connector is connected
Back in Grok, the connector is listed among the connected ones on the connectors page, marked Custom and with all tools enabled. In our test Grok listed it as More AI MCP. The same place has buttons to authenticate again and to disconnect.

Ask about your company
Open a new chat and ask Grok to use the connector. Write, for example, "Use More: how many unpaid customer invoices do we have?", or type @ in the message box and pick the connector. Without that, Grok sometimes searches the web instead. Reads run straight away, and charts appear in the chat with a table, a choice of period and an Excel button. A change is always shown to you first and sent only once you have approved it.

Grok searches the web instead of Fortnox. Ask for the connector explicitly: start the question with "Use More:" or "Use the Fortnox connector:", or type @ and pick it. Grok then uses the connector.
Grok says demand is high. On the free plan Grok can stop in the middle of a long task and ask you to try again soon. Wait a moment and ask again, preferably one thing at a time. On a paid plan it happens less often.

Using Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is xAI’s app for Mac, Windows and iPhone, included in Grok’s paid plans from Premium up. There you add the connector by writing in the chat, for example: "Add a custom MCP server called More AI with the address https://accounting.amore.cloud/mcp".
Click Add it, then Authorize on the card that appears. Our consent page and the Fortnox sign-in then open, just as in part 2 above.
